I recommend The Cricket in Times Square by George Selden because it is about a mouse and a cat who are friends (verrrry strange, but I like how they’re friends.) They meet a cricket from Connecticut, who meets a boy and becomes friends with him. The cricket can play any song! But what will happen when the cricket gives concerts and then wants to go home? Find out in this exciting story!

Great review Danielle! I loved this book when I read it, too. And my third graders used to love it when I read it to my classes.
I’ll bet you can’t wait to read the next book, Tucker’s Countryside!
